Wausau Architecture Tuesday – Knudson Metal

WHAT?? It’s the last Wausau Historic Architecture Tuesday of June already! Today we head to the west side and 1107 Cleveland Avenue.

This building is reported to have been built about 1892 in the assessment records in a commercial style. There are hints of boomtown with the false facade on the roof line.

Through the years this building has been the home to a variety of businesses in the lower level and to residents on the second floor.

2011- present: Lil Devil Glass

Eugene Westcott lived in the upper level while he owned the store and remained there until about 1953.
