Friends of Wausau Historic Landmarks (FOWHL) is a community-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to celebrating, educating, and advocating for the preservation of Wausau, Wisconsin’s rich architectural heritage and historic places.

Guided by a passionate board of directors, our organization works to ensure that the historic structures and stories shaping our city’s unique identity are preserved and accessible for future generations. As a registered tax-exempt public charity (EIN: 39-1649244), FOWHL relies on community support, collaborative leadership, and educational outreach to protect Wausau’s built environment.
