Stewart Avenue – Westside of Wausau Wednesday, June 26 at 6:30 pm
Meet at the parking lot on the corner of Second Avenue & Callon Street. Parking available in lot.
A neighborhood changed by realignment of Stewart Avenue, home to the normal school and Marathon Park.
The East Hill District Wednesday, July 31 at 6:30 pm
Tour starts and ends at Stewart Park. Includes steep hills and uneven ground. Parking on nearby streets.
One of Wausau’s two official historic districts. Large homes abound, and even one cobblestone street remains.
Southeast Side Wednesday, August 28 at 6:30 pm
Meeting place TBD. Parking available on nearby streets.
Wausau’s second planned neighborhood created in the 1920s and a favorite of mid-century builders.
Always free and open to all ages! All tours are rain or shine. Routes may include uneven ground, please wear good walking shoes.
